ARF Animals subsidized by the Animal Relief Fund in Pittsboro, NC

What is ARF?

The Animal Relief Fund (ARF) is a fund established to help defray expenses associated with medical treatment, preventative health care, and housing of animals that are stray, abandoned or surrendered to the hospital. The staff and doctors care for these animals until a perfect "forever home" can be found. The fund is maintained through donations and adoption fees for the animals.

Animals covered by ARF are tested and treated for any medical conditions, spayed or neutered, given routine vaccinations and preventatives (i.e. heartworm and flea), housed at the clinic, and loved and cared for by the Hill Creek staff. Despite the attention they receive at the hospital, we know these animals would be happier in homes with guardians who will devote time and energy exclusively to them. Potential adopters are asked to fill out an application, be interviewed briefly by a doctor, sign an adoption contract, and pay an adoption fee of $100. Should the adoption not work out for some reason we ask that the animal be returned to Hill Creek Veterinary Hospital.
